Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer (f/m/d)
This position is based in Rennes, France.
IDnow France is strengthening its in-house IT team and is looking for its future Infrastructure Engineer. As part of a team split between France and Germany, you will be involved in MCO and technical implementation.
Main Role and Tasks
- Maintaining, monitoring and expanding the Internal IT managed network and infrastructure systems across multiple locations (France and Germany) both on-premises and/or in the cloud.
- Participation in Internal IT and/or cross-functional/cross-office projects with other DevOps, Security and Production Infrastructure teams.
- Configuring and maintaining our network systems, Office Internet Connections, Wi-Fi and firewalls.
- Physically maintain our Servers, Switches, NAS, Firewalls, Access Points.
- Maintaining our virtualization environments (Proxmox and VMware ESXi)
- Automating our environment
- N3 support for incidents logged within our ticketing platform
- Create and maintain systems configuration documentation, including creating network diagrams.
- Working with the Security team to maintain Internal IT systems to support and reflect the security standards and policies of the company.
- Proactively contribute to knowledge transfer to the Level 1 and Level 2 support teams, with the aim of moving repetitive and well documented tasks to these teams.
That Describes You
Personal:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or you completed an IT-professional training or a comparable qualification in the IT field
- 5-7 years of work experience in IT Administration/IT Infrastructure
- You are a team player, have a problem-solving attitude, Hands-on attitude, and ability to drive solutions to completion
- Open Minded and able to work in an international environment with teams off-site
- Problem solving skills and approach
- Very good spoken and written French and English.
- Based in Rennes with the opportunity to travel to other offices when required
Technical:
- Mastery of Linux and Windows servers, domains, GPOs, Active Directory, LDAP, Azure, Exchange, SharePoint and O365
- Experience of Linux & Windows End clients “Debian/Ubuntu” and Windows “10/11” environment
- Experience in Networking, routing, switching, LAN, Wi-Fi and firewalls (Cisco, Fortigate)
- Experience in Virtualization environments: Proxmox, VMware
- Experience in automation/scripting “powershell, bash”, Puppet/Foreman
- Very Good Understanding of VLAN design and implementation
- Experience in resolving internal IT hosting and infrastructure issues
The "+" skills in your profile:
- Cloud systems: AWS, Noris .. etc.
- Endpoint management tools: Puppet/Foreman, Salt and/or Intune.
- Good Knowledge about Ansible, Python.
- Experience of working within in a highly regulated environment and conforming to standards such as ISO27001 and PVID.
- Knowledge of Apple-MAC operating systems.
